Hello friends, it has been awhile since my last blog. Today I am writing about Reiki on animals. As an animal lover, I know how important pets are to us. They are more than just a pet; they are a family member with their own personality. Like people and plants, animals can benefit from Reiki. A month ago my 15 year old Beagle (Snoopy) had a stroke. The way he looked, we all thought he was not going to make it. He could not move and was breathing very fast. I started to perform Reiki on him that night and by the next day he was slightly better. The following day I gave Snoopy another treatment and by the 3rd day my dog was already walking up and down the stairs. When the Vet came to my house and saw him he replied “Is this the fellow with the stroke?” He could not believe it …”There is no way a dog can be walking down the stairs like that after such stroke”. I told him I applied Reiki on Snoopy and although the Dr. was not completely skeptical his face was on disbelieve. As of today, other than age related issues my dog Snoopy is doing well (See pictures below).
Reiki healing on animal does not involve the administration of any drug, just a gentle physical or touching contact with the animal, so it is unlikely to do the dog or pet any harm. Animals love Reiki and it will work for them. Animals can easily get hurt when we are not paying attention; jumping, playing, chasing toys or feeling energetic and running around the house. Almost 6 months ago my daughter’s puppy Zuko a Siberian Husky fell down the stairs hurting himself. He was in so much pain that was crying very much. Everybody was getting desperate; I immediately took him in my arms and applied Reiki on him. At that time while he was touched, he fell asleep and rest for awhile. A moment later he woke up and was back running like nothing happened. Since the moment I touched and applied Reiki, Zuko and I got very close, it was like magic. He is now 4 times bigger and stronger than when he got injured but we still have the same strong bond and connection (See pictures below).
It is important to applied Reiki to the animal as soon as possible. If an injury is allowed to swell, excessive fluids can gather in and around the injury, increasing pressure and decreasing the flow of energy to the area of injury. This can result in permanent damage to tissues and lengthen treatment time. Reiki is an energy healing technique developed thousands of years ago which is gentle, can be done in person (face to face) or from any distances with the same effect and results. Any animal that receives regular grooming from a human is probably receptive to being touched for Reiki.
Reiki works well with animals for the same reasons it works well on plants and people of all ages. Have you ever noticed that when you pet an animal, he rolls over to receive more or looks at you with lovey-dovey eyes or sighs? Animals respond to your loving touch and intention. Reiki is another way to help your animals feel better. Reiki helps the healing process and works with any type of medical intervention without side effects or counter indications. If you would like to have Reiki done to an animal who is not usually touched (like wild animal, fish, birds) the distant healing techniques will work. You can use Reiki on an animal of any age or situation, even if they have been through a trauma. Animals can use loving energy after they've experienced any type of abuse, loss or if they seem to exhibit depression or other behavioral disorder. Even if you don't know what the problem is, or your pet is just stressed out, you can use Reiki to help. If you have no training in Reiki do what you know best, give your pet love; it is the best medicine!
